Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Ambassador Program

What is a DEI Ambassador?

A DEI Ambassador is someone who:

• Expands his/her knowledge of DEI and how privilege manifests in dermatology and business practices;
• Supports the tenets of the ASDS position on DEI;
• Commits to non-discrimination, anti-racism, inclusion, cultural and religious sensitivity, and humility with the goal of advancing health equity for racial; and ethnic minorities, individuals living with disability, and sexual and gender minority people regardless of background.
• Encourages colleagues to expand their knowledge, attend educational programs on DEI and become a DEI Ambassador;
• Considers the importance of being a mentor to early career URM dermatologists; and
• Fosters intentional dialogues on ways to create more just and equitable environments.

For your participation, you will be recognized by the Society in Currents, on the website and during the Annual Membership Meeting. The greatest value for your participation is the satisfaction you will feel by making a difference!
